The Y'allgonquin Round Table is a group of OF Music friends and associates who meet every Friday. These get-togethers had been going on for years, featuring so much witty banter that visitors often remarked how much the group was reminiscent of the famed Algonguin (Hotel) Round Table gatherings that occured frequently in New York, back in the 20s and 30s.
Consequently, Lyndy Gitter decided to dub this Nashville group the "Y'allgonquin Round Table." As a special surprise for Tom Oteri's birthday in 1998, she and John Gitter had a special plaque made, and organized a ceremony to present it to Tommy.
On that day membership cards were given to the group of "regulars"--who became "Charter Members"--and cards were distributed to "Honorary Members" as well. New vistors to the gathering continue to be granted these cards. It's really an honor to get one, considering you have to be fun, funny, and a fine human being to be considered. It helps if you can hold your liquor too....

What's New/sThe biggest news these days is the excitement being created by the Fagan & Clark Sports-Rock anthem, "My House." Not only is it being played by many professional sports teams, colleges and high schools, but more teams adopt it each week. It also was chosen by NBC to back an advertising campaign for the 2002 Winter Olympics. Before long expect to hear it featured in a Cledus T. Judd movie, Hip-Hop-motized, recently written by Cledus, Chris Clark & Robb Royer.
