Denver Smith

Friend and Inspiration To Us All

You can't talk about Tommy's Hospice experience without making special mention of Denver Smith, a patient everyone involved with OF Music or Tom Oteri came to love. We lost him to Lou Gehrig's Disease, as we knew we would. But the love and light this extraordinary man brought to all of us will never be forgotten.

Denver's special friend, Buffy Lawson worked with
him on the song "Sugar Daddy"for his terrific Big
Band album, "Swingin."

He co-wrote this album with dear friend Rudy
Guess. Here's a work session with Rich Fagan
and Teddy Andreadis.

Tommy and Rich took Denver to NY with them to see SNL and to party with friends and family. A great time was had by all.

But great times abounded at home in Nashville too.

And when it was time to say goodbye,

Tommy and Buffy were there to make Denver comfortable in every way possible.

Denver died peacefully--just as he lived.

Now he lives on, not only in our memory, but in his two beautiful sons, Logan and Liam.

We'll always love you, Denver........
